About the founder

Feathers founder Emily Hoover has loved vintage for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she spent weekends exploring antique malls with her grandmothers, sparking a lifelong passion for pieces with history and soul. By her teenage years, vintage and secondhand were already a way of life.

Emily studied dance and costume design at the University of Texas, later attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she worked in the fashion industry and refined her eye for style.

Feathers is the natural extension of her creativity and years of experience. For the past 20 years, Emily has been dressing Austin in its finest vintage, one timeless piece at a time.
